KATE CHRISTENSEN
Consultant | Owner | Destination Diva
Although we have other Kate’s in Kate & Company, this is the Kate with the moxie who makes it all happen. Kate is the owner combining her unique flair for event planning to produce inspired weddings, parties and social events of all sizes and styles. Kate is a celebrated savvy planner with over 20 years experience using a network of highly regarded vendors and venues with our team of personal planners to help create dramatic or intimate celebrations. Kate is also our destination diva and global trekker with more stamps in her passport than our team combined. Having been to almost every corner of the world she is an expert at sleuthing out the perfect location to make a destination wedding or event a dream come true.

Kate is energetic (more like a force of nature) and, if you haven’t already figured it out, she takes on multi-tasking with the finesses of ninja force! She is a thrill seeker and fearless spirit with a “bucket list” filled with goals for future adventure. She enjoys anything outdoors from hiking, skiing, and golfing, to scuba diving and swimming. She is the life of any party and inspires us all to create weddings and events with passion, integrity and excellence to exceed our client’s expectations.


LESLIE HONAKER
Consultant | Creative Director | Eco-Chic Weddings/Events
As our out of the box thinker, Leslie uses years of corporate experience in marketing and advertising along with her visual retail display expertise to create themes, designs and décor to personally touch each Kate & Company wedding and event. She’s our eco-chic consultant with a passion for an organic lifestyle and is an expert at making weddings/events Green and Glam affairs. She’s known for her obsession of the small details, unique “wow” features and the relationships she builds with our clients to create stunning weddings and events reflecting the client’s personality and vision.

She lives what she loves, from organic gardening (don’t mess with her heirloom tomatoes), traveling, cooking, decorating and entertaining to adoring time with her family and friends.

A few more obsessions to note...anything French, Italian and the number five! She calls everyone “Love,” makes a mean salsa, and you can find her in her office surrounded with the aroma of rosemary mint essential oils to invigorate and balance her workday.


KATIE ELSBERRY
Personal Planner | Party Perfector
Katie has a knack for making perfect seem easy. We’re convinced she was the kid sitting at the front of the class in school, because she is always the most prepared, the best researched and holds the team record for having he longest list of ideas during Kate & Company brainstorming sessions. Her commitment to deadlines, timelines and bottom lines, makes her a wonderful fit for the busy professional who wants to make sure their wedding or event is grounded while they are on the go. Katie will be thinking two steps ahead so you don’t have to. She has an unwavering eye for detail and will make sure all are covered to your specifications with the highest level of professionalism and quality. On the flip side, you’d be surprised to know despite her perfectionist ways, Katie is actually down to earth and uses her recent experience as a destination bride and six years of event planning know how to become your best advocate, confident and planner extraordinaire.

Katie has stealth wit, letting it fly when you least expect it, has amore for Italian food, is a community volunteer, and enjoys attending theater productions, naming Wicked as one of her all time favorites.


ALEJANDRA (ALEX) TRUJILLO
Personal Planner | Cultural Consultant
If you want to honor your heritage or add ceremonial customs to your wedding or event, Alejandra (Alex) is Kate & Company’s cultural consultant helping to provide a wedding that is uniquely yours. With eight years of event planning experience Alex knows how to interpret cultural traditions and weave them into a celebration with style and integrity. A native Phoenician and proud Latina, Alex’s fluency in Spanish and Latin culture immersion also makes her our resident go-to-girl in Latin wedding traditions, and Quinceañeras. Alex was producing fiestas in her home long before she began planning events professionally and is happiest spending time with her familia, dancing, swimming and traveling.

Alex is a detail diva, full of life, and makes us laugh (ok, downright cry) with her Tony Montana (Scarface) impressions. She takes her dancing as seriously as her work and if Alex says she’ll be there, she will. You will find her work ethic impeccable and a true partner by your side to make your wedding or event a success.


KRISTEN KERNS
Personal Planner | Occasion Orchestrator
When you first hear Kristen’s calm and re-assuring voice you immediately know you have connected with someone who will keep you smoothed out even if you’re feeling ruffled and overwhelmed. She was a planner in training at her mother’s knee from a young age and went on to a 10 year professional career specializing in grand openings, parties, community events and customer service. At Kate & Company she uses this experience to take pride on creating weddings and events on a personal level that builds trust and confidence. In addition, we believe her love of animals has enhanced her ability to remain simultaneously patient and persistent, which helps make her one of Kate & Company’s stellar on-site orchestrators. Having Kristen on-site will help shake loose any doubts about the day of your event as she’ll make sure all the i’s are dotted, t’s are crossed and the activities move along as scheduled.

Kristen spent a summer abroad in London honing her skills in creative writing, is an avid movie watcher, and regales in the tales of her two cats, Britney and Charlie. She loves to be surrounded by the color purple and we can’t live without her inventive office party scavenger hunts and Jeopardy themed grammar lessons.
